Resort Attractions

A superb public multi-sports facility was created on the site of the village’s old railway station a decade ago when the train line that had divided the village was moved, ahead of staging the 2001 Alpine Ski World Championships. Arl.rock (Bahnhofstrasse 1; +43 5446 26259) houses two indoor tennis courts, a large indoor climbing wall, four lane bowling alley, shooting range, squash courts and lots of other indoor sports facilities right down to table tennis tables.

Shopping

Although not a great destination for ‘recreational shopping’ along with the ski shops and food shops there are a dozen or so other shops in St Anton.

There are several clothing stores to investigate including Huber Kristin Huber (Alte Arlbergstraße 1; +43 (5446) 2524), Palmers (Dorfstraße 25; +43 (5446) 30253) and Story 1961 (Dorfstraße 6; +43 664 5612851).
There is also a tobacconist, newsagents, shoe shop, jewellers, photographic store, florist, book shop, chemist, post office and four souvenir shops.
