St Anton’s reputation for après ski hedonism is approaching legendary with nearly 100 bars and restaurants including the most infamous, the Krazy Kangaruh, at the base of the slopes a little way above the main village. A second venue, the Mooserwirt, now competes for the status of top après ski bar and the two, and a dozen more, do battle until 3am each and every night. Underground (+43 (0)5446 2000) is another (in)famous venue, located on the main piste just above the Galzigbahn, next door to the Museum. It offers a free schnaps with every drink.

The list of good bars is too long, but for example Alibi (+43 (0)664 5425417) is popular with locals and visitors alike for its good music and good beer while the Cuba bar (+43 (0)664 6523886) has five big screens for sports TV and shows British premier league football as well as the champions league. There’s live music here from Monday to Friday between 5 and 8pm and two Happy Hours from 4 to 6pm except at the weekend. Jacksy's Bar (+43 (0)664 9959599) is a cozy pub that endeavours to bring together Alpine tradition with the first English tourists who established skiing here and serves up Guinness, Kilkenny and Strongbow to help everyone feel good about it. Piccadilly is a popular British-style pub that provides après-ski with "Gunar" live from 4pm and live music daily.

Niki's Weinbar (Dorfstraße 31; +43 (0)5446 3253) in the Hotel Montana is a little more sophisticated offering Tyrolean cosiness combined with modern design.

There are many, many more.

The Postkeller Bar (+43 (0)5446 2213274) is one of the more popular night clubs with DJs mixing it from 9pm nightly. And every Friday night there’s an ice disco at Arlberg-well.com (Hannes Schneider Weg 11; +43 (0)5446 4000).
