There are 20 mountain restaurants to choose from, ranging from large year-round cafeteria style facilities such as the complex at the top of the Titlis glacier, to more intimate table service establishments. The Fürenalp mountain restaurant is a good choice for sampling local specialities and also recommended are the Jochpass restaurant and the Ritz at the end of the Laub piste.
Engelberg has a great range of dining with about 55 establishments to choose from and a good international mix too, not just fondue and raclette merchants, although there are plenty of those wonderful establishments. You’ll also find Chinese and Indian establishments as well as a dozen places to buy a pizza. The Yucatan is a lively choice for Tex Mex restaurant with frequent early evening happy hours.
There are about a dozen food shops in Engelberg ranging from traditional locally-owned grocery stores to larger supermarket chain outlets.

Cheese and other dairy goods are sold at Molkerei Hurschler (Blumenweg 17; +41 (0)41 637 12 70) and at the ‘Show Cheese Factory Engelberg’ (Klosterhof, +41 (0)41 638 08 88;
The supermarket options include a Coop (Titliszentrum 5, +41 (0)41 639 70 10) and Migros-Detailist (Klosterstrasse 5, +41 (0)41 637 16 85).
