Although not the liveliest resort in the Alps, most of Engelberg’s 50 or so restaurants have bars attached and there are a dozen or so more dedicated nightspots, as well as lots of other evening activities on offer, so you certainly won’t get bored when the sun goes down.

The Chalet at the base of the slopes is usually buzzing when the lifts close each afternoon and later on the Eden Bar is too. The Spindle Disco is a long standing resort institution. If you fancy traditional folklore visit the Bänklialp restaurant on Wednesday or Saturday evenings.
