Val Cenis has quite a good selection of small and simple bars and bar restaurants, as usual divided relatively evenly in distribution between the two villages – there are about a dozen in each.

In Lanslebourg, the Napoleon (+33 4 79 05 90 47) is a bright, airy bar which serves up great pizzas, as well as fantastic meat and cheese fondues.

Lanslevillard has perhaps a marginally wider and livelier choice with some of the biggest establishments too.

Both the Bowling alley and the Sports Bar (00 33 4 79 05 93 69) are modern facilities to hang out in, while Howard’s Pub (+33 (0)6 69 39 28 95) is one of the liveliest joints in town, open to 2am with a great cocktail menu.
