Easter is a great time of year to head off skiing – think glorious sunshine, longer, brighter days and fantastic snow with pistes receiving at least 5 full months of snow build up throughout the winter. And, it’s not uncommon for conditions to be strengthened by heavy snowfall in March and April too.
Le Village Les Arcs 1950 is fantastic for Easter with its high North facing ski slopes that hold the snow right till the end of the season and children always love the Easter egg hunts they set up every year. Val Thorens is another great Easter option with high altitude slopes and reliable snow, not to mention lots of children’s entertainment like Easter egg hunts and fancy dress parades performing regularly.
To make the most of the spring conditions head to Tignes and Val d’Isere with higher slopes and the Grand Mott glacier means you’ll always find perfect on-piste skiing. Avoriaz, with its pedestrianised streets, ski-in/ski-out convenience and great intermediate skiing is a great Easter ski resort, and with children under the age of 12 allowed free entry into the Aquariaz, their new tropical indoor water park, it’s never been a better time to book an Easter ski holiday to Avoriaz.
