Après Ski in Tignes

Loop Bar

If you’re staying in Tignes le Lac, one of the best places for après is Loop Bar, situated right at the bottom of Rosset and Trolles pistes. On a sunny afternoon it’s nigh on impossible to resist the allure of its bustling terrace, which gets the sun until it disappears behind the mountains. This friendly, British run bar always has a great line up of entertainment including live bands, DJs and comedy, both for après and later in the evening. Three large screens inside also make it a good venue for watching live sport. It does great food and in addition to its breakfast and lunch menus, it serves a good range of snacks until 9pm, which are perfect if you want a little something to accompany your après drinks.

Marmot Arms

On the other side of Tignes le Lac, opposite the Palafour chairlift and right next to Residence Le Lac, the Marmot Arms is another popular spot for après. Whether you fancy a bit of live music, watching the sport on the big screens, or a game of pool, you can do it all in this lively British-style pub.

La Flambée

If at the end of a long chilly day on the slopes you just want to flop onto a comfy sofa in front of a roaring fire with a vin chaud, head to Bar La Flambée in Hotel Village Montana. Its location at the bottom of the slopes in the Les Almes area of Tignes Le Lac makes it perfect for après, and it’s also ideal if you’ve got kids in tow.

Jack's Bar

Once all the other bars have closed in Tignes le Lac, those who’re not ready to call it a night head to Jack's Bar in the bowling alley to dance the rest of the night away to cheesy 70s, 80s and 90s tunes.

Couloir

Spanning three floors, this cool bar and restaurant in the centre of Val Claret is a great place to head for après drinks, dinner or some late night partying. There’s a happy hour from 4pm to 6pm and you can either relax on the sofas downstairs or head upstairs for cocktails and tapas. Later in the evening Couloir also have some great live bands and DJs playing.

Grizzly’s Bar

Grizzly’s Bar is a North American log cabin themed bar with a great location at the base of the slopes in Val Claret. Its sun terrace with handcrafted wooden benches and a fire pit make it a popular spot for après, although people tend not to linger too long as drinks are fairly expensive.

Whitney Bar

If you want to enjoy après or pre-dinner drinks in a more sophisticated setting, head to Whitney Bar in the five star Suites du Nevada hotel in the centre of Val Claret. Relax in the comfy sofas of this stylish contemporary bar and enjoy some of their excellent wines and bar snacks in front of the large open fire.

Melting Pot

Playing less cheesy music than most of the other clubs in resort, Melting Pot is the most popular of Tignes’ late night haunts with the Brits. A mix of hip hop, electro and drum ‘n’ bass tunes, regular guest DJs and plenty of drinks promos keep this place jumping until 4am most nights of the season.
