We are hard at work getting our hotel only search, and influencer search ready for you. In the mean time please try our Flight and Hotel search or give us a call to find your perfect holiday.
Just wandering around the attractive streets soaking up the atmosphere will keep you occupied for hours, particularly if you’re partial to a spot of shopping, in which case you’ll be in heaven. Morzine has loads of great shops for you to spend your holiday money in, or just browse. There’s a wide range of fashion boutiques, delis, souvenir shops, and ski and snowboard shops selling all the latest gear. There’s also a market every Wednesday, that’s worth paying a visit to.
If retail therapy doesn’t relax you sufficiently, visit one of the village’s many pools and spas. For our guide to the best, have a look at our Morzine Spa Guide. If you want to do some serious swimming or keep the kids entertained, head to Morzine’s new indoor swimming complex next to the Super Morzine gondola, which has a 25 metre pool, beginners’ pool, kids’ pool, 3 saunas and 2 steam rooms. There’s also an outdoor ice skating rink in the central village square, as well as an indoor one in Parc des Dérêches. If you want to see how the pros do it, go and watch the local ice hockey team, Les Pingouins in action at one of their weekly fixtures.
If you’d rather just chill out in front of a movie, cinema Le Rex on Rue du Bourg shows a good selection of new releases with many screenings in English.
If you’ve still got an appetite for more snow-based activities after skiing or boarding, there are loads more for you try. Snowmobiling is a great way to explore the empty slopes after the lifts have shut and it’s also great fun. Whether you want to take the wheel yourself or sit back and enjoy the ride while your guide drives, local company Avoscoot will arrange it for you.
If you’d like to explore the surrounding landscape at a gentler pace, why not try snowshoeing? Professional guides will take you out for half day, full day, or even evening expeditions, which can be combined with a fondue in a mountain restaurant or torch-lit aperitif. Beware that, while the pace may be more leisurely, the intensity is not and you’ll probably get a better work out than you would skiing!
For a truly exhilarating experience why not take in the beautiful scenery from above by paragliding? Aéro-Bi is one of several local companies that offer introductory paragliding lessons or tandem flights. It’s guaranteed to be an experience you’ll never forget.
