Valmorel Resort Attractions

Valmorel’s ski school (+33 (0)4 79 09 81 86; esf-valmorel.com) is keen to let you try out all the new snow sports, so if you’ve ever fancied (or even heard about!) airboarding, speed flying and snake glisse, this is the place to give one or all a go!

Airboarding is high speed sledging on inflatable sledges, while the snake glisse device, particularly popular in France, is a kind of long articulated sledge you ride down the slopes on like a snowy conga. Speed flying takes the most skill and involves descending a slope with a small paragliding sail on your back, so that when you take a small jump, you get big air.
