Conceived in the 1920s, the town of Megeve is stunning and full of historical charm. It was France’s very first purpose built ski resort and aimed to rival Switzerland’s upmarket St Moritz. As a result this classic town is not your conventional French altitude ski-in, ski-out resort. 

There is a variety of accommodation available. It’s important to consider exactly where your chosen accommodation is located if you wish to minimise walking or taking the ski bus to the slopes, or to the resort centre.
