You're spoilt for choice in Les Menuires, with a wide range of restaurants for eating out and shops for eating in.
There are about 20 mountain restaurants in the St Martin de Belleville-Les Menuires sector alone, and of course many more in the wider 3 Valleys.
Heading down towards St Martin, Chalet La Loy (+33 (0)4 79 08 92 72) on the edge of the Biolley piste serves up typical Savoyard meals and quicker snacks in a lovely wood and stone cabin.
Other good choices include the Restaurant l'Etoile (+33 (0)4 79 00 75 58) at Reberty 1850, La Sapinère and Les Sonnailles restaurant (+33 (0)4 79 00 74 28) off the Cumin route at Les Bruyères.
There are about 50 places to eat in Les Menuires, with cafes and restaurants spread through the various districts although, as with most facilities, the majority are concentrated in La Croisette. You’ll find predominantly simple establishments serving crepes, pizza and mountain favourites, but there are several high calibre establishments too.
The Crêperie La Myrtille (+33 (0)4 79 07 64 73) and La Sarrazine (+33 (0)4 79 01 05 73) crêperies, both in La Croisette, are usually good for an affordable snack.
Italian options include Pizzeria Freeride (+33 (0)4 79 08 62 56) in La Croisette, Pizzeria Le Break (+33 (0)4 79 00 02 91) in Les Fontanettes and L'Igloo (+33 (0)4 79 00 23 70) in Reberty.
Popular all-rounders include La Ferme (+33 (0)4 79 00 77 01) in Reberty and Le Vieux Grenier (+33 (0)4 79 07 68 58) in Les Bruyères.
The cool Le ‘K’ restaurant within the four star Hôtel Kaya (Reberty 2000; +33 (0)4 79 41 42 00) is one of the classiest in town.
The large number of self-catering apartments, and the fact that the majority of Les Menuires’ customers are French, means that the resort has a wide selection of great food shops.
For cheese and dairy products the Coopérative Laitière (+33 (0)4 79 08 52 39; beaufortdesmontagnes.com) in La Croisette has a great selection of locally sourced products. They have an outlet in Les Bruyères too, in the Place des Bouquetins (+33 (0)4 79 00 25 31)
There are also several bakeries in La Croisette, Preyerand and in Les Bruyères, and butchers shops in La Croisette and Les Bruyères.
For other groceries, Le Goûter (+33 (0)4 79 00 60 89) sells local produce as does Le Comptoir Alpin (+33 (0)6 98 36 27 42) and Le Grenier Bellevillois (+33 (0)4 79 00 64 07), all in La Croisette. There are similar shops in Les Bruyères, including Les Girolles (+33 (0)4 79 00 64 98).
Supermarkets in the resort include Carrefour Montagne (+33 (0)4 79 00 73 03) and a Sherpa (+33 (0)4 79 00 70 20) in La Croisette; a Spar (+33 (0)4 79 00 62 12) in Reberty 1850; another Sherpa (+33 (0)4 79 00 74 78) in Les Fontanettes and also in Preyerand (+33 (0)4 79 00 73 37) as well as Reberty 2000 (+33 (0)4 79 01 05 65). Finally there is a 8 à huit (+33 (0)4 79 00 69 59) in Les Bruyères.
