Whether we love it or we hate it, Valentine’s day has a nasty habit of sneaking up on us. We turn our backs for a moment sometime after Christmas and suddenly shops everywhere are overflowing with roses, ribbons and fluffy red things. But if you haven't had time to plan the Valentine's extravaganza of your loved one's dreams this year, you might not have missed your chance yet. For all you lovely, lucky, loved-up people, here’s a list of exciting things you could get up to in the mountains this February 14th.

As Vail Turns
The Vail Symposium will join forces with Vail's Colorado Ski and Snowboard Museum this February 14th to host As Vail Turns. The 45 minute-long satirical play is tipped to be a highlight of Vail's 50th Anniversary seaon, and will be performed by the Denver-based Curious Theater. The production will celebrate three of Vail's most well-known couples: Pepi and Sheika Gramshammer, Paul and Janet Testwuide and George and Rose Gillet. The evening will take place at the Vail Marriot Mountain Resort from 6pm, and members of the audience will also have the chance to participate in a silent auction!
Thursday Night Lights, Beaver Creek
Skiers and boarders of all ages (providing they're at least of intermediate ability) can take part in Beaver Creek's much-loved glow stick descent this Valentine's day. Join in with the lovely, lit-up ski down to music and then enjoy the spectacular fireworks finale! For times and more information call 1 970 754 5464.
Starlight Dinner, Zermatt
