Banff has opened its doors for the winter season!

Last week we reported back to you about the recent snowfall to hit the Alps, while that was exciting enough the news that the Mt Norquay area of Banff  is now open has left us absolutely buzzing for the upcoming season. 

Last year the resort smashed records for its snowfall levels, and now has set a brand new record as the 25th of October being its earliest ever opening day, and the first resort to open in Canada for the 2012/13 season. The rest of the Banff-Lake Louise area is set to open in the next few weeks, and then winter will truly be under way.

These astonishing photos are all from the last couple of days, we cannot believe it's not even November yet, we have big expectations for what's to follow!
